An active presence within scientific networks

  • Publish research work in the various fields of chemistry.
  • Represent stakeholders and their disciplines at all levels of society, including academia, industry, and public authorities.
  • Support and promote chemistry in all its aspects: scientific, academic, applied, educational, and societal.
  • Inform all interested stakeholders, deepen and disseminate their reflections and proposals in the fields of education, research, and industrial, economic, societal, and professional foresight.
  • Collaborate with a network of chemical societies around the world.
  • Organize scientific congresses and seminars in the field of chemistry and its applications.

SCT Governance

A clear and dynamic organization serving Tunisian chemistry.

The governance of the Tunisian Chemical Society (SCT) is based on a structured organization democratically elected by its members:

  • The National Board
  • The Executive Board
  • The Regional Sections
  • The Coordination Chemistry Group
The National Board

The National Board constitutes the national coordination body of the Society.

It brings together:

  • members of the Executive Board (الهيئة المديرة)
  • the presidents of the five Regional Sections (Bizerte, Centre, Sfax, Gabès and Gafsa)
  • the president of the Coordination Chemistry Group

This extended body ensures balanced national representation and effective coordination of the Society’s activities throughout the country.

The Executive Board

The Executive Board is the governing body of the SCT. It consists of twelve (12) members: one President, two Vice-Presidents, one Secretary General, one Deputy Secretary General, one Treasurer, one Deputy Treasurer, and five members.

Its members are elected by the General Assembly for a two-year term.

It ensures administrative and financial management as well as the implementation of the Society’s strategic orientations.

Regional Sections

The SCT has five Regional Sections: Bizerte, Centre, Sfax, Gabès, and Gafsa.

Each section is administered by a board composed of five members elected for a two-year term by the members affiliated with the respective section.

The Regional Sections actively contribute to scientific activities and to promoting chemistry at the regional level.

Coordination Chemistry Group

The Coordination Chemistry Group promotes and develops scientific activities in this specific field, fostering exchanges and collaborations.
